Turmeric is not just used in cooking curry. Having learned the extensive health advantages of turmeric, I’ve been using turmeric in almost everything—even in my drinks and beverages.  I’ve selected up all my favorite and primary recipes so that you can have a selection sheet to get all the benefits you can get out of turmeric.

Turmeric is also a potent antioxidant. Antioxidants are subjected for compensating free radicals. Free radicals are damaging factors that your body makes freely and naturally, but in massive quantities can be very dangerous. It is considered free radicals generate much of the damage that causes Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and dementia. Free radicals can destroy cells, making them mutate into cancerous cells.

1. Golden Milk

2 cups of milk of choice
One teaspoon dried turmeric powder
One teaspoon dried ginger powder
Black pepper sprinkles
Organic Honey (add when the drink is cooler)

Make the milk hot on the stove. When it starts heating add the spices. Leave it to boil for one minute or two. Let it sit for ten minutes (strain if you used fresh ingredients) and then drink at your leisure.

2. Turmeric Smoothie

One cup frozen mango
One-half inch piece of fresh turmeric (or 1 tsp. of turmeric powder)
One tablespoon of coconut oil
One-half of banana
One teaspoon chia seeds
One-half teaspoon cinnamon
Blend on high until smooth. Have for breakfast or snack.

3. Turmeric Tea

One tsp cinnamon
One tsp fresh ginger root
A pinch of clove powder
A pinch of nutmeg powder
A pinch of fresh ground black pepper
One to two teaspoon of turmeric powder
One to two cups of water

Raw honey to sweeten as desired. Boil the water in a saucepan. Add the ingredients, simmer for ten minutes. Strain. Add coconut milk and honey to your cup to get the good fats



4. Turmeric Latte

One cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk
One heaping tablespoon freshly grated turmeric root
One teaspoon cinnamon powder
One tablespoon freshly grated ginger root
One tablespoon coconut oil
Raw honey or sweetener of choice to taste
Pinch of black pepper

Heat your milk of choice in a saucepan. Add everything to the pot except the honey. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer for five minutes. Remove from heat and let stand another five minutes. Strain into a mug, add honey and enjoy.

5. Turmeric Water with Black Pepper

One tablespoon turmeric
One-half teaspoon pepper
One teaspoon olive oil

Put all the ingredients into a glass of water, stir rapidly, drink it!
